Public Spaces  ·  High Footfall Environments

Life safety for every visitor.

Fire, security and crowd safety for retail, leisure, cultural and civic environments serving large volumes of the public, every day.

Public spaces ask a lot of their safety systems: to stay quietly in the background day-to-day, then guide people calmly and clearly when something changes. Our designs do both.

What We Do

Discretion without compromise.

Busy shopping centres, cultural landmarks, hospitality venues. We deliver fire and security systems that keep visitors safe without disrupting the visit.

How We Work

Out of hours.
On time. Every time.

Retail, leisure and hospitality operators can't afford to close. We work around opening hours, with overnight installs, phased upgrades and silent testing, so the visitor experience never changes.

BS 5839-8

Voice alarm & evacuation

Honeywell Gent voice alarm to BS 5839-8 and BS EN 54-16: clear spoken instructions for high-occupancy shopping centres, stadiums and civic venues.

Axis · Milestone

Integrated CCTV

Axis cameras with deep-learning Object Analytics, managed through Axis Camera Station Pro or Milestone XProtect®. Certified to BS EN 62676 and UK GDPR compliant.

Active Deterrence

Loitering & after-hours

Axis network strobe sirens with staged escalation: high-output audio and synchronised visual strobe on confirmed intrusion.

Access Control

Access control & visitor management

Door-by-door zoning, scheduled access for staff and contractors, and visitor sign-in tied into a single platform. Back-of-house stays secure without slowing the public flow.

Frequently asked questions

Can installs run during trading hours?
Almost never. We phase intrusive work to overnight, early mornings or quiet trading periods, with silent commissioning during the day. Most of our public-venue installs are done outside opening hours so visitors never see them happen.
Which standards apply for voice alarm in a busy venue?
BS 5839-8 covers the design, installation and commissioning of voice-alarm (VA) systems. The control equipment itself is certified to BS EN 54-16. Together they replace bells/sounders with intelligible spoken instructions, the standard for stadiums, shopping centres, atriums and large hospitality venues.
Do you cover crowd-safety as well as fire?
Yes. We deliver fire detection, voice alarm and evacuation, integrated CCTV with people-counting analytics, intruder alarms, access control and active-deterrence cameras. All under one accountable contractor and one commissioning record.
How does Axis active deterrence work for after-hours protection?
Axis network strobe sirens linked to on-camera deep-learning analytics. When loitering or motion is detected in a defined zone outside trading hours, a staged response fires: a discreet first warning, then 110 dB audio with synchronised visual strobe if behaviour continues. The vast majority of intruders leave before any human intervention is needed.
Are the systems UK GDPR compliant?
Yes. CCTV designs follow BS EN 62676 and are GDPR-compliant by design through the Axis Camera Station Pro / Milestone XProtect VMS — including dynamic privacy masking, retention policy controls and audited export workflows.
