Engineers, estimators, project managers, commercial and support: the people behind everything Photuris does. We're growing, and we're always open to the right hire.
Our Culture
Photuris has protected people, assets and critical infrastructure since 2005, with fully integrated fire and security delivered in-house from first survey through to long-term maintenance.
We've built that reputation one engineer at a time. Our people are trusted on Network Rail infrastructure, hyperscale datacentres, BESS sites and the kind of critical environments where shortcuts aren't an option.
Today Photuris is wholly employee-owned via an Employee Ownership Trust. Every member of the team is a beneficial owner of the business, decisions are made for the long term, and profits are shared with the people doing the work.
We invest in our people, in training, in kit, in the systems that make the job actually work. In return they deliver to railway standards, every time. If that's the kind of team you want to be part of, we'd love to hear from you.
Our Values
The values that shape our work on site also shape what it's like to work here.
Transparent communication and customised solutions, with clients and with each other.
High standards of compliance, safety and performance, backed by RISQS, SafeContractor, SSAIB and BAFE.
Services from design through to maintenance, with every discipline in-house.
Exceptional service and rapid response times: the things that actually matter on the ground.
Solutions designed to be both sustainable and regulatory-compliant, today and in the long run.
Vacancies
We're actively recruiting across engineering, commercial and support roles. All applications handled by our recruitment team, and we read every one.

How We Hire
Three stages from first contact to offer. No trial tasks, no surprise extras: just a proper chance for both sides to see if it's a fit.
01 Video Interview
A video call with the hiring lead to talk about the role, your experience, and what you're looking for. Usually 30–45 minutes, no curveballs.
02 In-Person Interview
Come to our Sheffield or Hull office to meet the wider team, see how we work, and ask anything the first call didn't cover.
03 Offer
If we're both happy, we'll make an offer within days, clear on salary, benefits and what the first few weeks look like.
Speculative Application
Open roles listed above. If nothing fits today but you'd still like to be on our radar, drop us a line and we'll keep your CV on file.
